Pamela has created Maximizing Memories, a talk she'd love to share with book clubs, communities, libraries, or anywhere else her message feels relevant. In this hour-long discussion, participants explore the frustrations of relationships when dementia (Alzheimer's, Lewy Body Dementia, etc) or trauma (TBI, stroke)  makes communication difficult.

Designed for family, friends, and caregivers, this program encourages attendees to discuss, examine, and discover ways to keep relationships as viable as possible for as long as possible by accessing memories they share.

She has presented in the Florida library system, Senior Friendship centers, Memory Cafes, independent living and memory care facilities, as well as church groups and book clubs.

Biography

Author of THE MEMORY BRACELET, a multigenerational story of a young woman's re-examination of identity when family secrets upend it.

Pamela Raleigh once hoped her passion for words would inspire her middle school students to feel the same. While that didn't always work, her love for stories remained, and she turned from teaching about them to penning them.

THE MEMORY BRACELET is the story of college student Tessa's challenges for her future and her grandmother Esther's struggles to hold onto the past. Alzheimer's has complicated an already turbulent relationship and when long-buried family secrets are exposed, a charm bracelet provides a conduit to explore them. But Tessa finds more questions than answers, and with time running out, she must decide if the truth is worth it.

Pamela is the Acquisitions Editor for Bardsy and spends her non-writing or non-working time playing Gigi to her grandsons and splitting her time between the mountains of NC and the beaches of FL.

Her next novel, THE TROUBLE WITH MOONSHINE, releases in June, 2027. Stay tuned for more!
